A Green Guide for Earth Day

Check out MSN's 50 Easy Ways to Go Green. It has lots of helpful (and simple!) tips on how to make your impact on our earth just a little bit softer. Some of our favorites:

Consider using compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs). They cost a bit more than regular bulbs, but you'll lower your electric bill and pay less in the long run-CFLs last up to ten times longer than traditional ones.

From furniture to electronics, one person's trash is another's treasure-so when you want to dispose of an old item, don't make the dump your first stop.

This Week at ReUse

This Friday and Saturday we'll be holding community collection days in Nelsonville! Pickups of used items will be FREE to anyone residing within Nelsonville's city limits. We will also have a truck parked on Canal Street at the old Outdoor Adventures parking lot if residents wish to drop off their items. Our Nelsonville ReUse days will last from 10 am to 4 pm, on both Friday April 27 and Saturday April 28. If you live in Nelsonville and would like to schedule a free pickup, please call our main location at (740) 698-8200 ext. 10.
